Every country has its own constitution that reveals all the existing law suits and their conditions to apply on the any citizen belong to that particular region. No doubt, these constitutions are based on very serious matters, but there are some interesting facts about each constitution. 1. The Place of Write

The Independence Hall (Pennsylvania State House) is the place, where US constitution was written. Remember! This is the same place, where George Washington received his commission as Commander of the Continental Army.

2. Shortest Constitution

The U.S. Constitution has 4,400 words. It is the oldest and shortest written Constitution of any major government in the world.

3. The Bill of Rights

Some of the original framers and many delegates in the state ratifying conventions were very troubled that the original Constitution lacked a description of individual rights. In 1791, Americans added a list of rights to the Constitution. The first ten amendments became known as The Bill of Rights

4. Celebration Day

Constitution Day is celebrated on September 17. Remember! This is the anniversary of the day, the framers signed the document.

5. Recommended by 39 Delegates

Of the 55 delegates attending the Constitutional Convention, 39 signed and 3 delegates dissented. Two of America’s “founding fathers” didn’t sign the Constitution. Thomas Jefferson was representing his country in France and John Adams was doing the same in Great Britain.

6. Rhode Island – The last Signing State

Only 12 of the 13 original states actually took part in writing the US Constitution.  Rhode Island did not attend the Constitutional Convention though they eventually were the last state to ratify the document in 1790.

7. Thanksgiving Day

Established on November 26, 1789, the first national “Thanksgiving Day” was originally created by George Washington as a way of “giving thanks” for the Constitution.

8. The Keeping Place of Original Constitution

The original Constitution is on display at the National Archives in Washington, D.C. When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, it was moved to Fort Knox for safekeeping.

9. Proposition and Rectification of Amendment

2/3 of both houses of Congress had voted to propose and amendment and 3/4 of the state legislatures had approved it. 3/4 of ratifying conventions in states had approved it.

10. Only Two Presidents

George Washington and James Madison were the only presidents who signed the Constitution.
