People have a conception that making and canning pickle at home will be different. It is wrong. You can make pickle with the things available to you in your own kitchen. What you will need is a pot in which you can preserve. Some fruits have to be saved right at the moment, as they are so soft and for very short season. However, in case of beets, it is not so. There should be approximately 10-15 small beets, add 2 cups cider vinegar, ½ cup sugar, ½ cup water, 1 cup of peeled onion. 2 tsp salt, 2 tsp caraway seeds, 1 tsp of mustard seeds. In big pot of water soak beets till they get mild, rinse beets and make their pieces. Mix vinegar, sugar and water and boil them. Pouring boiling mixture over beets and process for 30 minutes.
