Depression is the one of the most common illness of the today’s age. Depression is growing all over the world due to many reasons. Whatever the reason is, depression makes the person hopeless and disappointed all the time. If it is not treated it grows to extreme psychological disorders and a day comes when the patient commits suicide. Another aspect of our society is that depression is treated as lightly as a normal headache. It is not that easy to get rid of the depression. Below are given some facts about depression.

Depression is not just depression. It has stages, the minor, the mild and the major depressions. The major stage of depression is the one which makes people mad and they even kill themselves.

The major depression patients can belong to any nationality, any age group, any person rich or poor. There are around 20 percent people who fall prey to depression every year and there is seen 10 times more patients compared to 1945 statistics.

Depression is a dangerous mental health problem that leads to extreme results. There are around 50 percent people who commit suicide due to depression. It is now classed as major cause of suicide.

4. Hopelessness

Hopelessness is one thing that either leads to depression or the depression is resulted into it. With hopeless attitude, people give up all their efforts to lead a healthy life.

Depression leads to isolation. People who suffer from depression isolate themselves from the society and they give up all their activities. They think about the failures of their life all the time.

Many a time, a failure is the reason of depression. It happens that when someone tries his best and put all his efforts to achieve something but cannot do so, he falls into depression. The success is meant to be everything for such people. The imbalanced attitude towards practical life causes depression.

The monotonous routine and the usual day and nights also cause depression. This is why psychologists say that the routine is to be changed otherwise depression grows.

8. Perfection

Another reason of getting depression is the perfectionist approach. It is not the ideal thing to get too perfectionist. Perfection is something that cannot be achieved because no doubt what we do we cannot be perfect.

9. Imbalance life

The imbalance life is not healthy for a person. Too much of travel and tough life keeps person busy and when a point comes when there is no business left, people get depressed.
