Boa Constrictor is a famous American snake that belongs to Boidae family. No doubt, Boa Constrictor is not a poisonous snake, but it is very dangerous due to its large bogy structure and having tendency to crush its prey. Here are some interesting facts about Boa Constrictor.

1. Biological Description

Boa Constrictor is the only snake that has same biological and common name. the family and order of Boa Constrictor are Boidae and Squamata.

2. Large Snakes

No doubt, Boa Constrictors are not as larger as pythons, but are very close to them. their length can reach up to 13 feet starting from 3 feet. However, their body weight is very heavy that ranges from 22 -33 pounds.

3. Diet

Boa Constrictors are famous as surprising attack predators. They can wait for their prey for long time and attack suddenly. There are good predators and their common diet is amphibians, birds, lizards, mice etc. However, they can also prey cats and other large animals.

4. Habitat

With respect to habitat, the behavior of Boa Constrictors is also interesting. They are found in entirely different climatic zones i.e. from desert areas to rainforests. However, their beloved place is tropical rainforests.

5. Subspecies
