Black Widow Spider Facts

Black widow spiders are from a family arachnid family. They found in warmer places in the world. They are good predators and kill many harmful insects as well. Here are some facts about Black Widow Spider.

Shape and Size

They have a shiny black color at abdomen. The two red  triangle are underneath. It has a shape of an hour glass. They are about 1.5 cm in length without legs. The female is about 15 mm.

Range

The black widow spider is found in very warm regions of the world. It is also found in tropical regions like in the United States, Australia and many countries of Europe.

Habitat

They prefer to habitat in warm places. They like grounds and spin their webs in sheltered places near to a ground. They like to habitat in dark places. The web is also serve the house of the spider.

Reaction of Bite

It depends upon the place where the spider bitten. It has a very dangerous venom. It cannot feel when the spider bites, but after 48 hours its reaction occur and can infect the person who was bitten.

Diet

They are very sharp predators. They prey different insects including cockroaches, beetles and other various arthropods. When it prey the victim, it tours the body in many pieces and sucks the liquid contents from body parts.
