Bed Bug Facts

Bed bugs are the insects which are commonly found in the beds of human beings and live on human blood as their diet. These small insects are present all over the world and everyone remain worried about their blood-sucking habit. Here are some facts about bed bugs.

1. Scientific Description

The scientific name of bed bug is Climex Luctularius and they belkog to genus Climex and family Cimicid.

2. Human Parasites

Bed bugs are not ordinary parasites that live on the blood of animals, they are the human paracsites and the their only food source is human bllod, which they suck from their hosts without any noticeable apin.

3. Habitat

The habitat of these human parasites is the actual cause behind their name. Bed bugs remain in the beds of human beings especially in the warm houses. Usually, they suck the human bllod only at night.

4. Physical Description

The average length and width of bed bugs is 4-5 mm and 15-3 mm respectively. These oval-shaped insects have no wings and light-brown to reddish brown color.

5. Effect on Health

Normally, these is no instant or quick bad effect on human health, but some effects may appear like allergy, skin rash and some psychological effects.
