1. Largest species of cats
We often hear that some crazy people call tigers and loins the big cats, but they are not crazy actually. Tigers and cats belong to same family. Tigers are the largest species if cats.
2. Heaviest tiger
Among the species in tigers, the heaviest is the Siberian tiger. This tiger can weigh up to eight hundred pounds.
3. Camouflage
One of the biggest advantages of the beautiful skin of tiger is that this stripped skin can prove to be the best camouflage for them. They can hunt easily and they can make themselves safe easily.
4. Unique strip design
If we look at two or three tigers, all will look to us as same. We may remember some marks on their skin to identify them individually. But their striped skin is the unique. No two tigers have same strip pattern and they are remembered and marked by their stripes in the wild.
5. Man eaters
Among the big cats, tigers are the most notorious for man-eating. The tigress that made her name in man eating and made a history was found in India. She killed four hundred and thirty men before she was finally killed by Jim.

In India, the wildlife officers often use the paw prints to identify a tiger. This is not very effective method because an individual tiger can leave different paw prints depending on its speed and the place.

Tigers have suffered a lot from the human hands. In ancient times they were killed for pleasure by kings. But there is another reason i.e. their beautiful skin. Because of this, tigers were killed to extinction.
8. Bengal Tigers
Bengal tigers are the most notorious and killer animals. They are still found in the jungles of Bengal and people still feel themselves un-safe because of their presence. These tigers can swim and kill people in boats.
9. Chinese medicines
Tigers are also killed because their body parts are used in Chinese traditional benefits. Though, the hunting of tigers is illegal now, but still people find ways to kill them.
10. Meat needs
An adult tiger needs as much as 150 kilograms of meat in a month to meet its energy requirements.
