Rattlesnakes are a group of snakes that belong to the family of crotalinae. They are those animals that live in large habitats and live by hunting other small animals. They are called rattle snakes because of their rattles. They change their outer skin after every season and live in the form of clusters.

2. Types and species

There are 32 species of rattlesnakes and about 65 to 70 subspecies of these snakes. All of these species belong to Native Americans.

3. Regions

Rattlesnakes originally belong from native America however they are also found in diverse habitats of southwestern Canada and north Argentina.

4. Victims

Rattlesnakes usually kill mice, rats, birds and other small animals, this way they are useful because such small animals can destroy crops and fields.

5. Bite

It’s really an interesting fact about rattlesnake that they usually avoid humans, only give it a chance and they would craw away you.

6. Precautions

If ever you visit any area where you think that rattlesnakes or other poisonous insects can be you just don’t go in the upper areas like small hills etc. make noise so that if they are there they move away. Be more careful in hot weather.

If you ever get bitten by rattlesnakes just don’t start moving immediately and try to immobilize the affected area.

Rattlesnakes can be dangerous in a sense that they can collide with your vehicles fron screen! Yes, it has happen about 6 or 7 times.

9. Identification of rattlesnakes

Rattle snakes can be easily identified by their triangular head and the jointed rattles on their tails.

10. Detection of object

Rattle snakes can detect their object from 40 feet away. But, their vision is sharper when objects are closer. Its pupils are not round which enables the snakes to watch even in dim light.
