1. The First State

During the event of American Revolution that was held on 7th December, 1787, Delaware was one of those 13 colonies, who participated in the event. This was the event, when Delaware State was given the name “The First State”. The reason was that, Delaware was the first state among all other 13 colonies that approve the constitution of United States. People of Delaware still feel proud for being the residents of “The First State”.

2. Ranking of Delaware

Delaware is no doubt, the 49th state of United States in terms of area. However, it is the second smallest state area-wise that comes before the 1st smallest state “Rhode Island”. With respect to population, Delaware is ranked number 45th in whole United States.

3. Division of Delaware

We can divide Delaware State into three counties that are named as New Castle, Sussex and Kent. The major source of income in last two counties is agriculture. However, New castle is highly developed county and truly claimed as an industrial region of this state.

Ebright azimuth is the highest point in whole Delaware State that is just 442 feet high. It is situated at the joining point of Ebright Road and Ramblewood Drive in Wilmington.
