Arizona is the 48th state that entered into US in 1912 on February 14th. The capital of the state is phoenix and area wise, Arizona is the 6th big state. The world knows Arizona today for its desert climate, for its grand canyon, for its national parks and for its varied landscape. Arizona is located in southwestern side of United States. 1. Grand Canyon

Arizona has more parks and national museums than any other state in US. It has more mountains than Switzerland and when talks about golf courses, they are found more in Arizona than in Scotland. Arizona is roughly the size of Italy.

Before the modern day America, the place was under reservation of Indians. The first college on Indian land was the Navajo community college in tsaile.

4. Navajo agents

During World War II, US army hired many local Navajo secret agents. They did this because the local residents used to speak the language which could never be understood by the enemies. In this way the secrets were safe.

The first major irrigation project in Arizona was started in 1912 by the president Roosevelt with the construction of a dam on Salt River.
