Coleslaw with Dressing Nutrition Facts

Different people call it by different names. Some American people call it just slaw. It is a kind of a salad, which is prepared by shredded cabbage. It is up to you whether you like to include shredded carrots, fruits, vegetables, apples, onions, green onions, peppers etc. you may add cabbage pepper, onion, grated cheese, pineapple and dress your salad with mayonnaise or milk cream. In United States, people add so many variations to make it different like few people prefer to add vinegar or mustard.  We like to eat it as a side dish or may include in our main menu like barbecue, French fries or burgers etc.

At different burgers or pizza shops, we are served sandwiches, hot dogs along with coleslaw and hot mustard.   Another kind of coleslaw named “cheese savoury”  is popular in northeast of England. Its ingredients are cheese, onion and salad cream. Coleslaw is healthy food but adding mayonnaise and vegetable oil make it full of fat, which is not good.
