1. Primary Function
The primary function of the lungs is to transport oxygen from outside atmosphere to the lungs where they get the required oxygen needed for the body and expel carbon dioxide.
The size of the lungs is not exactly the same and it is different. The left lung is a bit smaller than the right lung and it allows some free space for heart.
