Use of tobacco is associated with smoke, which is harmful not for the active smokers but for the passive smokers as well. With the advancement of technology, now we have smokeless tobacco. 1: Types of Smokeless Tobacco

Smokeless tobacco has two common types. One is the chewing tobacco, which is sold in the form of loose leaves, which are twisted. Snuff is the second form, which is sold in moist or dry sachets.

2: Harmful Chemicals

Smokeless tobacco is also harmful for human as it contains harmful chemicals. Cadmium, arsenic and formaldehyde are some harmful chemicals, which are present in smokeless tobacco.

3: Carcinogenic

By using smokeless tobacco, risk of oral cancer increase many folds. Moreover, cancers of tongue, cheek and mouth are also very common in tobacco users. Pancreatic cancer is another cause of concern for tobacco users.

4: Addictive

Smokeless tobacco contains more nicotine as compared to other tobacco products. Nicotine is absorbed by the lining in the mouth and user can easily get addicted.

5: Users of Smokeless Tobacco

According to a study, there are more than 10 million users of Smokeless tobacco and one third of them are under 21.
