They are reddish, light brown to slivery grey in color. They have spotted ring patterns on their tails. They are eight feet in length and weigh up to 160 pounds. Female have a weight up to 100 pounds.

Food

The diet of mountain lion includes elk, deer, small mammals, live stock and porcupines. They eat 8 to 10 pounds meat daily. They prefer to eat deer. They kill 1 to 2 deer in a week.
