1. Neonate period

Neonate period is that part of puppy’s life, which consist of early two weeks. This is the period in which puppies can be trained in simple manner. Nevertheless, it becomes difficult to teach puppies after passing this neonate period.

2. Socialization Period

Socialization period means the development period of puppy’s life. the duration of this period is almost 10 weeks, starting from the third week and ends in 12th week. This is the most important period of a puppy’s life, in which it learn the social play.

3. Average Weight

As a healthy puppy has better ability to grow just after the birth, so its weight depends upon its health. On average, the weight of a puppy starts from only 1 pound and could be up to 15 pounds, in case of larger puppies.

4. First Week

The first week of a puppy is almost senseless, as it born without teeth and has no ability to see as well as listen. During the first week, a puppy does nothing, but to eat and sleep.

5. Features

As a puppy has no teeth at the time of its birth, but its teeth grown up very slowly within a period starting from 6th week and ending up to 2 months. After two months, these teeth fallen out for replacement with adult teeth.

6. Development

For any puppy, it is necessary to grow up under the supervision of its mother, as they need assistance for eating as well as getting warm. After reaching at the age of 8th week, they become independent.
